PEMBERDAYAAN KADER DASA WISMA SEBAGAI PENYULUH KESEHATAN GIGI

For the women (neighborhood mothers) in Lemah Dadi hamlet of Bangunjiwo village, Bantul Regency, the second highest of complaint percentage is teeth disease, after rheumatic. It is probably caused by limited knowledge of women about the way to prevent this disease. So if the cadres of local neighborhood can be empowered as teeth health management person, then they may be able to help other neighborhood mothers in out coming or preventing the emergency of teeth disease.

The results of research shown that training activities for neighborhood cadres on Gaduh hamlet of Patalan village in Jetis district and on Lemah Dadi hamlet of Bangunjiwo village in Kasihan district were influencing the improvement of teeth health knowledge for cadres of neighborhood mothers. In addition, the research was also resulted another information that there are no correlation between education level and employment with the knowledge improvement of teeth health cadres.

Hopefully the results of this research may be followed up by Puskesmas Jetis II and Kasihan I by empowering the trained cadres as teeth health management persons in their own groups. Read more …….
