PERANCANGAN SISTEM FOTOVOLTAIK SEBAGAI SUMBER KETENAGAAN SISTEM PENYEDIAAN AIR MINUM (SPAM) (Studi Kasus : Desa Wukirsari, Kecamatan Imogiri, Kabupaten Bantul, Propinsi D.I. Yogyakarta)
Dengkeng, Kobango, Giriloyo, and Nogosari II are places in Wukirsari Village which experience water scarcity. Water Supply System (WSS) is proposed to fulfill the water necessity of the local people. WSS at Wukirsari Village makes use of ground water resource so that it needs pumping. Water pumps in WSS of Wukirsari Village need DC’s daily energy as much as 88.47 kWh. Fulfilling energy need as much as 88.47 kWh by using fossil fuel can produce pollutant amount of 82.28 kg for 25 years. Solar energy which can be produced by photovoltaic system is energy with zero pollutant. Sun radiants which come to earth surface comprise 3 types, those are sun direct radiant, sun indirect radiant, and sun reflected radiant. Because of these, sun energy potency is calculated by adding 3 kinds of sun radiants. After calculating, we obtain that the average of sun radiants in one month is 3.466 kWh per m2.day. Based on that value, we can figure out that the Peak Sun Hours (PSH) is 3.466 hours/day. Furthermore, we can obtain that AC’s daily energy is 23.15 kWh per day, DC’s load total is 27.24 kWh per day, voltage system is 48 V, and total current is 567.50 Ah/day. Then, we can count that the current to inverter is 13.76 Ah/day-parallel branch, 42 parallel branch of module, 2 modules with series connection, battery charging is 11.21 days, and 4 batteries with connection series.
Photovoltaic system of WSS project in Wukirsari uses 98 Sharp 170 modules with VR 34,80 V, IR 4,90 A, and $ 843,50. Furthermore, we get battery capacity of 8.48 Ah, inverter capacity of 7,858.82 W, and regulator capacity of 411.60 A per module. Thus, the total module costs 909,293,000.00 rupiahs, the building of photovoltaic system costs 139,891,230.77 rupiahs, the inverter costs 209,836,846.15 rupiahs, and others cost 139,891,230.77 rupiahs. Thereby, the total cost to build photovoltaic system for WSS in Wukirsari is 1,398,912,307.69 rupiahsjrd2011-agustus1
