Rekayasa Teknologi Pembuatan Pupuk Organik Dari Sampah Pasar (Sayuran Daun Bayam Daun Kangkung Daun Kobis) Menggunakan Cacing Tanah

Market is a place for selling and buying household needs, so it produces much solid waste. The solid waste will give negative impacts of bad odor, leachate, and bad view. Therefore, this research aimed at processing market solid waste particularly cabbage leaf, spinach leaf, and water spinach leaf to be organic fertilizer using earthworm (Lumbricus rubellus) as decomposer.
The research was done by weighing 100 kg solid waste of cabbage leaf, spinach leaf, and water spinach leaf that had been kept for 15 days. Then, the solid waste was weighed 1 kg, added with 200 gr earthworm with 3 repetitions. 400 gr and 600 gr earthworm were also added in 1 kg solid waste. The keeping durations were 5, 10, and 15 days with 3 repetitiosn. Finally, the weigh of solid waste decomposed by earthworm is measured.
The result indicates that the solid waste most decomposed by earthworm is decomposition efisiencies of cabbage leaf waste by 600 gram earthfworn. In 5 days, The efficiency is (1000 gram-690 gram)/ 1000 ) x 100 % = 31%. In 10 days, the efficiency becomes 49 % (( 1000 gram – 510 gram)/ 1000x 100 %), and in 15 days becomes greater, that is 69 % (( 1000 gram-310 gram)/ 1000 x 100%).
The decomposition efficiencies of water spinach leaf waste to be fertilizer with 600 earthworm are as follows. In 5 days is 38 % ( 1000-620 gram/1000 gram) x 100 %; in 10 days is 46 % (( 1000 gram – 540 gram)/ 1000 x 100%); and in 15 days is 68 % ((1000 gram- 320 gram)/1000 x 100%).
The decomposition efficiencies of spinach leaf to be fertilizer with 600 earthworm for 5 days, 10 days and 15 days were 0,43 %((1000 gram -570 gram)/1000 x 100%), 62 % (( 1000 gram-380 gram)/1000 x 100%), and 72 % (1000 gram – 280 gram)/ 1000 x 100%), respectively.
