STRATEGI MENGHADAPI MASALAH PADA PEREMPUAN KORBAN KEKERASAN DALAM RUMAH TANGGA

This research is intended to search a strategy to overcome the problems expressed by women as the victims of domestic violence. A number of 45 women as the victims of domestic violence have participated in this research. Subjects were individually obtained by means of snowball technique with assistance from seven key informants. The part of subjects was also obtained from Religious Court of Bantul Regency, i.e. women charging divorce from their husband because of domestic violence. Data of the research was gathered from inquiries of ID cards, strategic scale to overcome the problems, and checklist of violence occurrence experienced by the subjects.
The results of this research is showing that (1) using of problems-oriented strategy to overcome the problems by women experiencing domestic violence as
the subjects of this research is tending to be high; and (2) using of emotionoriented strategy to overcome the problems by women experiencing domestic
violence as the subjects of this research is tending to be moderate
